With the motto “Future-proof: Tradition. Partnership. Innovation.”, Gummiwerk Kraiburg presented itself in its 75th anniversary year at the DKT in Nuremberg. The manufacturer utilises its extensive knowledge and long-standing experience in developing, processing and refining elastomer compounds to cater to the big trends of the future: from mobility to renewable energies, to health and a better quality of life.
The company said it places particular focus on cooperative partnerships and therefore invited visitors to an in-person exchange at the trade fair to be inspired by the latest solutions and high-end products. In addition to the existing wide range of compounds, Gummiwerk Kraiburg has a new, future-proof series of compounds for the drinking water sector due to amended rules and regulations. Furthermore, the company also offers certified, halogen-free flame-retardant compounds as well as heat conductive compounds for use in a wide range of applications. In addition, with Kraiburg LEP – a film for protecting the rotor blades of wind turbines – the company is making a contribution to the longevity of wind turbines and thus to sustainable energy production. Gummiwerk Kraiburg also develops compounds for use in applications in connection with the various aspects of hydrogen utilisation.
The company’s appearance at the trade fair was topped off by the presentation of Peter Fietz, developer at Gummiwerk Kraiburg. As part of the lecture programme at the rubber conference, he talked about the possibilities of surface modification of elastomers and showed various approaches for processing elastomer surfaces.
